uMkhonto weSizwe Party is a progressive liberation movement committed to achieving total freedom: political, economic, social, spatial, cultural and ideological. Our mission is to dismantle all forms of oppression and injustice and to build a society where equality, dignity and opportunity are a lived reality for all.

At the heart of our struggle is unity in action. We believe that the collective strength of all progressive forces, guided by merit, excellence and proven capacity, is the key to transforming the State and every institution that serves the people.

We stand firmly against colonialism, neo-colonialism, neo-liberalism, racism, sexism and every unjust system that seeks to marginalize or demonize black people and Africans, in South Africa and across the world.

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party is built on the philosophy that the oppressed hold their greatest weapon in their unity. Together, we fight not only for liberation, but for a future defined by justice, equality, and true freedom.
